BUSINESS GOALS
-
Migrate to Mobile with a seamless yet improved experience
-
ORBIS wants to grow its user base by making it quick and easy to create a Cybersight account within the mobile app and be notified once it is approved
-
Encourage faster response times by ORBIS mentors by making it quicker and easier to respond to a case assigned to them
-
Users often have low bandwidth, high-latency connections; ORBIS needs to create an app experience that is fast, light and works well under these constraints
USER GOALS
-
Visual breakup of forms
-

Usability testing
Findings
-
Users were able to complete the assigned tasks with ease
-
Users were able to understand when they were working in offline mode
-
Users were immediately notified when their case had any activity

Feedback
-
Users mentioned if the tap size of the category tiles could be increased
-
If we could have SMS notifications for their case activity
-
Mentors mentioned if we could extend the support of the mobile apps to tablets

Iterations
-
Category tile's tap size increased
-
Introduced a banner which notifies users that they are working in offline mode
-
SMS integration is on hold as of now, since the app is based in many countries
and there are charges applicable
-
Introduced support on tablets (restricted to portrait mode only)
Outcomes
Usability testing
-
While creating an app which would be used in rural areas, it is important to consider offline mode, which in case of Cybersight was a successful feature.
-
Notifications are important for users, users do not want to go to their mailbox to check the status again and again
-
Community wall feature shows activity of all users and keeps them engaged
